A 2-part workshop for social entrepreneurs building their online presence, including branding, social media marketing, and content creation.
About this Event
Are you a social entrepreneur looking to build a strong brand and online presence for your mission-driven business or organization? Join us for this two-part workshop on October 15 and October 22 co-hosted by the Centre for Social Innovation and RallyRally, a design studio dedicated to social change. Please note that by registering for this event, you are committing to Part 1 and Part 2 of this workshop.
This workshop is intended for organizations and entrepreneurs who are looking to build their online presence, or considering a rebrand.
We will facilitate this workshop using Zoom, and you will receive a link to join before the event.
Thursday October 15, 12:30-2:00pm ET | PART 1 (90 minutes)
In this session, we cover the basics of branding, social media marketing, and content creation. A presentation will be followed by a live Q&A period with participants to ask their specific questions. Participants will leave with tangible advice and worksheets to complete before the second workshop. During part 1, you will learn:
- Basic digital marketing concepts and terminology.
- Aspirational examples of stand-out brands from the social enterprise space.
- Advice for finding designers and working with them.
- Strategies and tips for social media marketing and content creation.
Thursday October 22, 12:30-1:30pm ET | PART 2 (60 minutes)
In this session, we dig into useful frameworks, questions, and processes to help you build your online presence as well as peer coaching. During part 2, you will:
- Learn new tools to guide your social media marketing and content creation processes.
- Share and refine your ideas with other participants, and get feedback from the presenters.

Jay Wall | Principal & Creative Director, RallyRally
Jay is the Principal and Creative Director of RallyRally, a design studio dedicated to social change. RallyRally are alumni of the Centre for Social Innovation and have worked with many organizations in the CSI community over the past decade, including leading the brand design for Climate Ventures and some of its members.
Audra Williams | Communications and Content Specialist, Centre for Social Innovation
Audra is a writer and strategist with an intuition for finding common ground and bringing people together. Most of all, she loves creating accessible content that allows people to engage with complex issues. This has driven her work as a political speechwriter, a newspaper columnist, and the online public face of several campaigns and brands. Audra loves connecting people, building networks, asking questions, telling stories, crunching numbers, and shaping the discourse.
Pearl Leung | Digital Marketing Coordinator, Centre for Social Innovation
Pearl Leung is a writer and marketer with a deep appreciation for storytelling as a tool for change. She spent her undergraduate years studying business at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, where she was swept away by the unique energy that can only be found in innovation hubs. Today, she is a Digital Marketing Coordinator at the Centre for Social Innovation, amplifying the good work CSI and its members are doing through organic and paid social campaigns.
