Did you know that law is a self-regulated profession? Every few years, lawyers elect 40 amongst themselves (known as “Benchers”) who are responsible for governing the Law Society of Ontario. Benchers play a crucial role in regulating the profession with a view towards protecting the public interest.
I am a candidate in the 2019 Bencher Election. Please join me for breakfast to discuss current issues, such as access to justice, mental health, and barriers to entering the profession. I am also here to answer any questions you may have for me.
Everyone is welcome and lawyers are encouraged to attend.
Attendees will be responsible for paying their own meal. Space is limited, so please RSVP if you intend to join us.
This event is open to members of my other Meetup groups and Facebook, so expect a decent turnout.
Super excited to meet everyone.
