Journalist and writing coach David Silverberg presents Pitching to Press: How to Pitch your Business to Journalists

What should entrepreneurs and organizations know about pitching their work and story to journalists? Experienced journalist and writing coach David Silverberg will reveal the strategies change-makers should harness to better communicate their company’s business and products to journalists.

David Silverberg, a CSI Annex member, is a freelance journalist, editor and writing coach who regularly writes for BBC News, The Washington Post, Toronto Star, Business Insider, Popular Science, Ars Technica, NOW Magazine, Fodor’s, and many more. For three years, he profiled more than 30 startups for the City of Toronto’s StartupHERE Toronto portal. He has also interviewed top executives such as Richard Branson, Reed Hastings (Netflix), Anne Wojcicki (23andme), James Park (Fitbit), and Andy Puddicombe (Headspace). For 12 years, he was editor of DigitalJournal.com, an online news network with more than 250 contributors.
