Overworked, striving for perfection, dealing with uncertainties? They’re all ingredients that can contribute to burnout. Indeed, we live in challenging times and many of us are either burned out, or headed in that direction. In this interactive session, we’ll take an extensive look at burn out: What it is; Factors that contribute to it; Solutions for addressing it. We’ll cover such topics as stages of burn out, components to include in a self-care plan, the art of saying no and organizational practices that support a healthy workplace.
You’ll learn from others as well as have the opportunity to reflect on your own practices and behaviours. We’ll use tools such as dialogue, listening, journaling and personal storytelling.
This workshop is for you if you want to:
· Learn what “burnout” is
· Improve your methods for self-care
· Get coping strategies for dealing with burnout
· Consider personal practices that increase your inner-resiliency
· Take time to look at what delights and drains you so you can have more of the former and less of the latter
