Join us for a lovely afternoon of mindful shopping and good holiday cheer as you show your support for businesses operating with a social and/or environmental purpose. Companies that are putting people and the planet first by selling local, upcycled, reclaimed, repurposed, all-natural, eco-conscious, package-free, and ethical goods.
“Green Sunday” aims to challenge and offer an alternative to Black Friday and mass corporate consumerism by holding space for equitable, transparent and mindful consumption. A space where each item has a story and isn't contributing to the current climate crisis in the name of profit.
We are encouraging Torontonians to rethink the way they shop this holiday season. From zero waste tools, handmade items, jewelry & clothing, local yummy nibbles, and so much more, you’ll find something special for everyone on your list and feel good about it! This year, give the gift of green!
In addition to the market vibe, there will be a maker space, zero-waste wrapping demos, and the event will conclude with a local artist showcase for the final two hours.
When: Sunday, December 8, 2019
Where: 720 Bathurst St. Toronto
Time: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
