Lunch and Learn: Active Listening – Key Skills for Connection and Understanding

​Being an effective leader is about more than just managing others; it’s about listening, supporting and coaching your team to thrive. Whether you’re leading an entire team or a single individual, being an active listener will help strengthen trust with your colleagues and lead to greater success. In this Lunch and Learn, led by Jay Gosselin of 3C Team Building and Training, you will learn and practice the basics skills of active listening and understand how to leverage these skills to build more meaningful, engaged and productive relationships with your team.

By the end of this event, participants will be able to:

  1. Learn about the power of active listening in the workplace and its impacts on team and organizational success,
  2. Understand the importance of curiosity, compassion and courage and how to foster these conditions within your team, and
  3. Learn the practical skills and approaches needed to become a more active and effective listener and leader.

This event will take place on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM EST. CSI Members get in for free! Non-members can purchase tickets for $10. No one will be turned away due to costs. Jay Gosselin is a leadership coach, facilitator, speaker and founder of 3C Team Building and Training, a professional development company whose mission is to help teams and workplaces communicate, collaborate and connect more effectively. He is also the co-creator and lead facilitator of Escape Manor for Business team building programs.
