Session 2: Finding Your Lane: Nonprofit Election Advocacy Strategies Led by Candice Zhang of the ONN
April 28 3:00-4:30 PM EST
This election is a critical moment in time. We are emerging from a two-year global pandemic, facing historic levels of costs of living, and potentially heading into an economic recession. The pandemic has revealed how deeply inequities are entrenched into our current economic and social systems. As nonprofits, we need to engage in advocacy this election to make sure the next government has a vision and a plan to create an equitable post-pandemic Ontario. Candice will outline low-energy and resource-limited advocacy strategies your nonprofit can engage in to make our voices heard. She will also discuss several examples of nonprofits that have successfully used these advocacy methods.
