Business Development Representative

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Development Representative to join our tight-knit team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience who wants a career with purpose. Under the direction of the General Manager, you will accelerate the growth of the company by generating leads, qualifying prospects, and closing deals.

While our main office is in Toronto, candidates can be located anywhere in Canada.

Key Responsibilities


  • Managing your own sales pipeline
  • Identifying and contacting potential clients through networking and marketing methods
  • Qualifying leads by discovering their needs and finding opportunities to help them
  • Scheduling demos explaining the benefits of our service
  • Delivering educational webinar events and pitches
  • Closing sales through consistent follow-up
  • Managing proposals and contracts


  • Reporting on weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales metrics and results


  • Supporting internal company projects
  • Collaborating with the Client Services team to ensure customer success



  • A passion for selling and a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Great work ethic, motivation, and the ability to stay organized and work independently
  • Demonstrated willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at learning quickly and enjoys tinkering with technology
  • Experience or desire to work with nonprofits


  • Knowledge of Google Ads or SEM and ability to explain its merits to potential clients
  • Experience with CRM software like ActiveCampaign
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Interest in optimizing sales processes


$40,000 – 50,000
