Job Description

The Climateverse is eager to connect with new audiences and engage our existing base through compelling social media initiatives. We’re seeking two content managers to help us expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts. They will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and affinity. In doing so, the content managers will maximize community engagement with The Climateverse, thereby helping us to accomplish our goals.

About The Climateverse

The Climateverse is a multimedia platform reporting the news live from parallel dimensions where humanity is taking bold, transformative action on today’s most pressing climate and social justice issues. Through short, easy-to-digest newscasts that reimagine real world news, our overarching goal is to transform climate anxiety and helplessness into climate hope, optimism and action.

This is a relatively new project looking to expand from an inspired one woman show into an engaged community platform, and we need your help to get us there.

For now, this is a part-time, short-term opportunity that we’re happy to align with your internship or student placement needs (marketing, communications, etc). With your help, one day soon we’ll be able to expand the platform to a funded and revenue-generating outlet.

Objectives of this role

With this role, we are looking to increase engagement with existing audiences and grow our followings on social media (especially Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms as well). Our goal is to catalyze conversions from interested followers to engaged email subscribers, to active community members and excited fans who tell all their friends to visit The Climateverse.

We’re primarily aiming to accomplish this through evergreen and related content to our signature newcasts produced by our founder. Therefore, content managers are not required to write or perform for our newscasts, but if that’s something you’re interested in, then so are we.
