Program Overview

Innoweave is an initiative of the McConnell Foundation, in collaboration with hundreds of leaders and partners from the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Innoweave's objective is to help community organizations learn about and implement new tools and processes to effect large-scale change. The platform supports a range of coaching streams to help organizations clarify their impact goals (and align activities to meet those goals), scale their impact, collaborate for transformative change, and learn and adapt as they innovate.

Position Summary

The Innoweave initiative is built around a set of tools and approaches that builds the knowledge and capacity of the non-profit sector to innovate their models and increase their impact. Innoweave helps hundreds of organizations with a spectrum of activities across Canada, including outreach, workshops and the delivery of coaching and grants. Moving forward, the initiative will continue to connect with Canadian non-profits to help assess their social innovation needs, motivate them to build strategies for increasing their impact, and provide support as they move their ideas to implementation and results.

The Junior Program Officer, Innoweave will support the program in delivery of its core wayfinding, grantmaking and coaching functions. This includes general management of program administrative processes to intake, assess, and administer applications and payments. 



  • Engagement with, and learning from Innoweave’s network of grantees and partners. Support wayfinding for prospective grantees, and facilitate check-ins with organizations receiving Innoweave support, with a specialized focus for some of Innoweave’s coaching streams.

  • Innoweave funding document preparation, delivery and receiving.

  • Payment memo and cheque delivery administration.

  • Innoweave email account administration and general inquiry oversight.

  • Supporting communications functions, including newsletter formatting, general content/announcement creation, website updates, and online application system intake maintenance.



  • Passionate about helping non-profits achieve their mission through a focus on outcomes.

  • Highly organized, with strong project management and prioritization skills

  • Understanding of the non-profit and community sector, social innovation concepts and their application.

  • Bilingualism is required. Strong oral and superior written communications skills in English and French.

  • Process and detail oriented; capable of delivering program administrative elements to a high-standard.

  • Ability to self-motivate and accomplish a work plan in a home office.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal team members, and external partners.

  • Comfortable with technology, including web-based systems such as Zoom, G Suite, SurveyMonkey, and other platforms.



  • Part-time position (20 hours per week), with potential for full time.

  • Work from home, with occasional work required in the McConnell Foundation office in Montreal.

  • Occasional travel (e.g. Ottawa/Montreal).

  • Entry level. Applicants will be asked to indicate their salary expectation.
