Marketing Co-ordinator

Job Description:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, responsive and proactive marketing materials and communications based on best practices on various mediums. The Coordinator will be responsible for executing our communications strategy throughout programs and platforms including websites, printed materials and social media platforms, as well as developing organizational content, email campaigns, and key community and stakeholder outreach initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Posting regular, timely content for our website and social media platforms, as well

as ensuring broad and interconnected distribution from accounts managed by

projects and partnerships.

● Creation of cross-channel content and visual materials including but not limited to

graphics, videos, motion graphics, etc. and ensuring their proper distribution.

● Providing technical support on design, photography, web and video editing,

streaming / live events.

● Working with staff to ensure that all print and online materials follow policies and

communications guidelines.

● Copywriting for social media posts, emails and other writing needs.

● Regular and timely engagement with followers.

● Tracking social media analytics and reporting.

● Supporting online campaigns and email outreach to engage new audiences.

● Working with project managers to draft and execute marketing strategy,

including stakeholder materials.

● Researching and exploring new digital channels and strategies through which LURA

can expand and improve its communications.

● Assisting events, and meetings as necessary.

● Other duties as required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma, or equivalent experience in a related field such as marketing, design, communications, journalism or another relevant field.

Experience:

Minimum of one years’ experience in a related field such as marketing, design, or

communications. Experience in consulting is considered an asset.

Required skills and abilities:

● Highly effective in interpersonal interactions as well as communicating both

verbally and in writing.

● Expert knowledge of social media platforms and content distribution strategies

● Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and platforms, including social

media, email marketing, and content management systems.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for different audiences.

● Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and storytelling.

● Analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

● Strong familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, and video-editing software.

● Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple

projects simultaneously.

● Passion for public engagement and making a positive impact in communities.

Travel:

• Some travel mostly province

• Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license and be comfortable driving as a reliable mode of transportation to various work sites.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position works collaboratively as part of a team, and may support oversight of students or sub-contractors.

Work Environment:

We have team members across Ontario, and most staff work virtually for part of their work week. We have offices in Toronto, and team members attend in office at their own discretion. This job requires attending project sites for a variety of project related tasks such as attending on-site public meetings, pop-ops, etc. This is dependent on project assignment and could take place in different sites across Ontario.

Salary range:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $65,0000. This position is a 6 month contract with potential to turn into an ongoing position.
