Job Description:

As a CMS Expert specializing in WiX, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development, management, and optimization of our websites and our online community using the WiX platform and our Community software. You will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining visually appealing and user-friendly digital experiences that align with the organization’s goals and branding.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade the CMS platform.

  • Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of the CMS platform to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement seamless CMS installations, keeping systems up-to-date and efficient.

Manage user accounts and permissions.

  • Oversee user account management and permissions within the CMS, ensuring proper access levels and security protocols are maintained.
  • Implement and enforce user authentication procedures, regularly reviewing and adjusting permissions to align with organizational requirements.

Ensure software security and stability.

  • Implement robust security measures to safeguard the CMS platform from potential vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the software’s performance and stability, proactively addressing any issues to maintain a reliable and secure environment.

Community Building and Engagement:

  • Implement and manage online communities using Disciple Media software to foster meaningful interactions among community members.
  • Facilitate discussions, encourage user-generated content, and create engaging activities to enhance community engagement.
  • Monitor community activities, respond to inquiries, and moderate discussions to maintain a positive and respectful environment.

Content Management:

  • Upload, format, and organize multimedia content such as articles, videos, images, and documents on websites and community platforms.
  • Ensure consistent branding, style, and tone across all digital assets.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Apply SEO best practices to optimize website content for improved visibility on search engines.
  • Conduct keyword research, implement metadata, and enhance on-page SEO elements to drive organic traffic.

Technical Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, navigation, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT teams or external support to address more complex technical challenges.

Training and Support:

  • Train internal teams or community moderators on best practices for content management and community engagement.
  • Provide technical support to users encountering issues on the website or community platform.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

  • The CMS administrator must stay informed about the latest developments in CMS technologies and best practices in digital content management.
  • This may involve attending training and industry events, reading relevant articles and blogs, and participating in online forums and communities.

Document CMS processes and procedures.

  • The CMS administrator is responsible for documenting the processes and procedures for using the CMS, including training materials for new users.
  • This documentation should be clear and comprehensive, making it easy for users to understand how to use the CMS effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Digital Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with the Wix platform to design and manage websites.
  • Familiarity with SaaS Community software and community management.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for minor code adjustments.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
