Located in downtown Toronto, the 64,000 sq.-ft. Murray Building is CSI’s newest home, and boasts a makerspace and hundreds of social ventures.
The space was designed by Peggy Sue Deaven of Peggy Sue Collection, an award-winning, Climate Ventures-accelerated enterprise, for functionality, connection, and inspiration.
Almost everything in the space has a sustainability story, such as being made locally by a member (green wall by Ripple Farms, tables by Just Be Woodsy) or out of low-carbon materials. We even have a light fixture in the shape of an HFC molecule made in Cabbagetown.
Climate Ventures is located on the 2nd floor of CSI Spadina at 192 Spadina Ave. and is not fully accessible.
It can be entered via a lift and an elevator with a door of 30” width. Functionally this means that while we are able to accommodate many accessibility devices, those using larger devices may need alternative arrangements. Guests will enter through the south laneway door, which has a lift. The laneway is located between 192 Spadina and 190 Spadina.
