I am a mentor to social entrepreneurs, an impact investor and someone who is interested in working collaboratively to make the world a better place. I have run my own businesses, have an MBA and currently work extensively in the not for profit sector, sitting on several boards, and as chair of Social Venture Partners. SVP is working to alleviate poverty in our city, working with youth organizations through combining partner donations with teams of highly skilled volunteers to work with innovative charities over the long term in capacity building engagements. I believe in supporting women in entrepreneurship and as the program director for SheEO, I am part of the team building a new generation of women leaders in social enterprise where values are aligned with the businesses they build in order to make a positive impact in society. As (co)vice-chair of Foodshare, I believe that food justice is a critical component in building a just society where there is access to good healthy food for all. The work that Foodshare does to increase access and to provide healthy alternatives for children and families is critical to building a just society.
