Archana is a rights advocate, manager, researcher, communicator, coach-in-training, and polyglot with extensive experience working on and supporting complex human rights and social justice initiatives. She is currently Program Development Lead with Spring Strategies, based in Toronto.
In recent years, she has overseen the creation and expansion of a multilingual, global forum on human rights issues called OpenGlobalRights. Collaborating with researchers at the University of Minnesota, Archana has also conducted research on local human rights organizations as well as coordinated and helped-analyze large-scale public opinion surveys on perceptions of human rights in India, Mexico and Morocco. Drawing from this research, she has co-authored several articles on resource mobilization challenges and opportunities for local human rights groups in the Global South.
