I am the founder, managing director and co-facilitator of The Manager’s Boot Camp which provides training to managers in the not for profit sector.
I have more than 30 years of management and executive leadership experience in hospitals and the community in Victoria in B.C., and Timmins, Barrie and Richmond Hill in Ontario. Through my experience, I have learned about the need to support the development of managers in the not for profit sector, who are otherwise placed in a sink-or-swim situation. The Manager's Boot Camp is based on a core-competency model for participants to learn skills in immersive and interactive training that has been available since 2014.
I have published in The Globe and Mail Leadership Lab, and have provided numerous presentations at provincial, national, and international conferences.
Outside of work, I love to golf, read, walk in the city's ravines, and spending time with family.
