Creating hope and opportunities for young people has been and always will be the purpose and drive in my life. Too many young people in our city are facing insurmountable barriers and violence that are beyond their control, losing their friends and future. I hope to invest the new skills, connections, and perspectives gained throughout this program into building hope and opportunities for our young people to unleash their full potential and lead our city.
Mobilizing people to make our city a better place is what I do every day in my professional and personal life. My role as Senior Philanthropy Officer at United Way gives me a unique privilege and responsibility to influence Corporate Toronto and high-net-worth donors to prioritize social change in every part of their business, including employee engagement and social procurement. I have led complex partnerships with major corporations to unlock financial support and unleash private sector resources to deliver effective community solutions. During my time at United Way, I have raised $20M and mobilized over 20,000 people to fight poverty and build social cohesion.
