Similar to the missions of the Shoah Foundation and Yad Vashem to collect the narratives of survivors, Sephardi Voices is the first systematic initiative to construct a digital audio-visual archive to document and preserve life-stories in Sephardi communities. Uprooted from their homes, neighborhoods and ancestry, nearly 90% of the Sephardi were displaced and forced to seek refuge in new countries. The project gives voiceto these nearly one million Jews.
