I have worked at a Toronto based stock photography company since 1996 and witnessed the the transition of an analog business to a digital one. I'm a marketing and communications professional with years of experience in content and email marketing as well as web and graphic design. I've launched blogs and social media channels, designed ( and redesigned) websites, maintained editorial calendars and crafted direct mail campaigns to segmented audiences with high return on investment. There's a dark side to marketing (convincing people to spend money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like) at odds with my personal beliefs but I'm very eager to take what I've learned in the for-profit sector to tackle projects that make a positive difference to my community and city. I'm a long-time crafter and zero-waste enthusiast, eager to tackle some new challenges with a position on the Board of Directors of a new arts/environmental non-profit in Toronto.
