Tammy Lynn Oliver-Snook
I am a 5th-year Memorial University, Commerce and Economics student, convocating in May 2020, who has developed skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, conflict management, critical thinking, meetings management, time management, and task management throughout academics and work/volunteer experiences. When I find a position I am passionate about, I dedicate myself to succeeding in that role and to learning what I can from others.
I have a passion for equality, financial literacy, and growth and development in the Social Enterprise and Social Innovation sphere. My background with SE originates from a specialized course I completed at Memorial University entitled, Social Enterprise in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as volunteering and working for SEs in St. John's, Newfoundland. My interest in SE and SI also derives from my hometown - a population of 2200 people - where I witness, first-hand many gaps = endless opportunities, in adult and youth skill development for off-seasons, and financial literacy.
When I am not head down into my books, you can find me on the hiking trails with my Australian Shepherd, spending time with my family and friends, or dreaming of where I want to travel next. Maintaining a balanced lifestyle, scheduling time to 'just be', and keeping a continuous checklist of things to do are what has led me to success thus far.
