I am currently working on a mindfulness program for children and teens as a method of mental health prevention. I personally had a challenging experience as a young person and feel very strongly about providing kids with tools to help themselves stay on an emotionally and mentally healthy path. The program includes yoga, meditation and life’s skills such as gratitude, kindness, connectedness to themselves and the world, emotional regulation, body awareness and creativity. All themes are geared towards empowering children and teens to be their truest selves, which in turn, can build and stabilize self-esteem as well as act as a preventative measure against the increasing mental health issues they are currently experiencing. My goal is to take what I have gained from my own experience with depression along with the tools I have obtained from my work as a life coach and make it all accessible to kids.
