Welcoming You Back Safely

CSI

CSI

We are ready to welcome you back. Starting September 7, sites will be staffed, doors will be opened to our community, and together we will begin the joyful work of bringing life and magic back into our spaces.

We are so excited to unveil all of the events and gatherings we have planned for this fall as we rebuild our community together. Read more about our upcoming community events, rituals, and renovations here.

WELCOMING YOU BACK SAFELY

Following the recommendations of Dr. Eileen de Villa Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health and the Ontario Health and Safety Act guidelines, we are implementing a double vaccination requirement for entry to the CSI buildings. This policy goes into effect on September 22, 2021.

We are requiring that all members, tenants, their employees, contractors, consultants and guests have received two approved COVID-19 vaccinations fourteen days prior to entering any CSI spaces. If you rent coworking space, please have one member of your organization fill out this form for all of the employees, contractors, volunteers, board members and fans that you expect to be joining you in our CSI spaces.

We understand that there are people who have medical barriers to receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. If a member of your team, contractors, consultants or guests has a medical exemption, please contact our space manager and let them know and they can talk about options

To ensure that we are creating the safest space possible and protecting one another, the following regulations continue to be in effect:

  1. Mask policy continues to be in place. This means they must be worn in common areas unless physically distanced, seated, and eating at a designated area with dividers or at a workstation with dividers.
  2. Distancing requirements also remain and dividers will be available and should be used whenever possible.
  3. Meeting room capacities are still reduced, please adhere to the new capacity guidelines and either dividers or masks must be used while in meeting spaces.
  4. Further information and details on our COVID policies can be found here.

We also invite members to a reopening Town Hall on September 9th, at noon. You can register via Zoom. This Town Hall will be a place for us to provide you with our plan for the fall and answer any questions you may have.

We look forward to the days when these additional risk measures will no longer be necessary, and until then we will continue to connect in all the ways we can and work together as a community to keep our vulnerable populations and our community healthy and thriving.

We have some big news! The world is changing and so must CSI! We told our members earlier today and now we want to tell you. CSI has made the decision to put 720 Bathurst up for sale and consolidate our operations into CSI Spadina.
CSI Spadina in the ground floor kitchen, looking out towards the lounge and meeting rooms. In the foreground is a kitchen counter, with waffles, toppings, and glasses of coffees and teas. In the background, CSI CEO Tonya Surman is speaking into a microphone on the left. In the middle and on the right, a variety of people stand and sit, listening to her speak.
One of the keys to CSI's magic is our Community Animator Program (CAP) and, specifically, the Community Animators themselves! Through this program, we've worked with more than 1,000 exceptional individuals who have each brought a little something different, and a little sparkle, to our spaces. And we're so glad to have had them in our community, because we've learned that each and every one of them has some exceptional talents, skills, and experiences to offer the world!
