Mayor John Tory is proclaiming October 2, 2019 as Toronto’s first Not-for-Profit Recognition Day! This day will shine a light on the sector’s important role in creating the vibrant, inclusive, and equitably supported communities that benefit all Torontonians.

In 2017, Toronto became the first city in Canada to adopt a ‘whole-of-government’ policy framework to guide how it works with not-for-profits. The framework includes principles, commitments and concrete actions to promote a more strategic and consistent City/Sector relationship.

This sector brings so much value to our city and communities:

One of the things about CSI that sets us apart from other co-working spaces is that we are a not-for-profit. In addition, many of our city’s most amazing not-for-profits are or have been members of CSI. We are so proud of the role we’ve played in incubating and accelerating this crucial sector.

Are you part of a not-for-profit that is looking for help in changing the world? Find out how CSI can help!
