Elvira
Community Operations Coordinator
Elvira was born and raised in gorgeous Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Her parents sent her to Toronto in 2003 to help improve her English and the rest is history. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in History & Political Science and a passion for a good political debate or history book. She worked as a researcher for the G8/G20 Research Groups to learn more about the world around her and has an experience of almost ten years working in public, private, government and academic environments. Elvira has worked in various campaigns, consulting companies, and organizations over the years, which taught her a great deal about Toronto’s culture and diversity. She has always loved helping people, engaging people, and working in community.
Elvira wishes she knew about CSI 10 years ago: she really misses her family in Russia but CSI provides the community values she craves.
When she is not at work you can find her in the gym or hanging off trees in the summer with friends at Trinity-Bellwoods. Elvira loves sports (mostly basketball and soccer, or as she calls it “Europe Football” – she’s still confused why a sport one plays with hands is called “football” here!) books, wine, and travel. Oh, and most of all she loves her two adorable kids and family.
