Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Eric and his wife have lived in Toronto since 2002. He loves public policy, basketball, election campaigns, cooking, reading, cycling, and his kids (not in that order). Eric worked on the political side in the Ontario government for a decade, and in the resource sector since 2012, on policy files related to sustainable resource and community economic development, with a particular focus on Northern Ontario, forestry, mining, energy, land-use planning, and Indigenous partnerships.
Eric currently works as Director, Provincial Relations at Ontario Power Generation, and is the Founder and Commissioner of the 24V Basketball Club, where he is an energetic but low-skilled three-and-D wing player. An optimist and idealist, between election campaigns Eric enjoys scheming about future ones, and is constantly on the lookout for Ontario’s future leaders.
