Peter loves models, spreadsheets, systems and nature. His working career has sometimes found him in finance, sometimes software development and sometimes entrepreneurship. He started on Bay Street in the early 1990s and after a few years, moved to Uganda to found and run an agricultural marketing company. The Ujima Company was able to pay better prices to farmers through good quality control and building strong relationships of trust. Next Peter returned to Bay Street and soon became the vice president of risk management for Canada’s largest multi-strategy hedge fund. Then he founded a solar power installation company, building solar arrays around the greater Toronto area. Since then he has worked as a software developer, business analyst, project manager and became the VP risk for another hedge fund. All the while, Peter has pursued his love for creating models for physics, AI and economics. But he has left the world of laptops behind to do what he truly loves – working outdoors. Now Peter maintains the buildings, grounds and boats at the beautiful Wasan Island. Every day is a joy.
