Design and Communications Specialist
Yuliya is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Toronto. She holds a bachelor degree in Graphic Design from OCAD University. Yuliya loves taking on creative challenges that bring innovation, meaning and excellence to the social impact sector, and is always searching ways to collaborate on projects that propose radical solutions to social and cultural issues.
Prior to CSI, Yuliya worked in both nonprofit (Evergreen) and for profit/media (VICE) sectors. At CSI, Yuliya contributes her multidisciplinary graphic design talents to CSI’s Communications and Marketing team. She oversees all branding related pieces, works with teams on campaigns, reports, presentations and events. She has joined the CSI’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) committee to both learn and implement these practices at the organisational level.
Born and raised in Kazakhstan, Yuliya Tsoy is a 3rd generation Koryo-saram – a term for Koreans who immigrated to Russia and Central Asia in the 19th century. Food has always been a big part of Yuliya’s life and she is on a mission to preserve the recipes that fill her childhood memories.
