Guests cheer at CSI's 2022 Holiday Gathering
Every year, we honour a member or members with the Bow Tie Award during our famously festive Holiday Gathering. And no, it’s not for the best dressed attendee!

The Canada Animal Welfare Scorecard, the second annual report and the only one of its kind in the country, ranks more than 50 food companies. We spoke to PJ Nyman, Corporate Engagement Manager, about the report, its implications for the Canadian agriculture sector and for consumers nationwide, and how being a CSI member has benefited their work.
A group of people are gathered at CSI's 2022 Holiday Gathering.
From all of us at CSI, we’re wishing you and yours a very happy new year! As we kick off 2023, we wanted to take a moment to pause and reflect on all of the progress, events, and people from 2022. And of course, we’re excitedly looking forward to all that 2023 will bring – impactful work from our members, growing our community, and more.

A crowd sits at CSI Annex and listens to Alessandra Naccarato discuss her book, Imminent Domains, at Innovator Drinks in November 2022.
For our November Innovator Drinks, we were lucky enough to host CSI Annex Member and author, Alessandra Naccarato, and our event sponsor, Book*hug Press, to discuss Alessandra’s latest book, Imminent Domains: Reckoning with the Anthropocene. Alessandra joined us to discuss her book, the process of writing at CSI Annex, and advice for ourselves in this changing world.

Ground Floor
CSI Spadina’s ground floor is fully accessible with a lift on the south side of the building.

Guests will enter through the south laneway door, which has a lift. The laneway is located between 192 Spadina and 190 Spadina.

When you arrive in the building please contact our welcome desk (416-979-3939 ext. 1) to have a staff or DECA to provide access to the lift.

Upper Floors

The coworking space on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors are not fully accessible: they can be reached via an elevator with a door of 30” width. Functionally this means that while we are able to accommodate many accessibility devices, those using larger devices may need alternative arrangements.

We are committed to ensuring all members and their guests are able to use our services. If you have any accessibility concerns or questions please reach out the Community Manager: Stefan(at)socialinnovation.ca.
